As many of you know, at about this time, two years ago, I was in the final stages of processing my two year visa to move to London, England. And what a two years it has been! When I moved here, the only plan I had was that, no matter what, I was not allowed to move back to Canada for at least a year. Aside from this, I knew little of what to expect. I had just graduated from university, had never taught outside of the safety of my Teacher's College placements, and didn't even know where I would live once I arrived here. I was naive & had never travelled on my own before. All I knew was that I was ready for excitement and adventure outside of the safety net that had become my life - and I leapt at the chance.
Fast forward to the end of my first year of living and teaching in London. I was in love! I wasn't finished with London and was excited to take London by storm for the second year of my visa. I had found an amazing school that wanted to take me on full-time as a classroom teacher and I jumped at the opportunity. This was always a close-ended plan. I would teach for the year, do a ton of travelling and return to Canada after a big summer of travel for good, in September.
Now, lets jump to the present. Obviously, I'm at the point where I have just over 1 month left on my visa. I've also kept pretty quiet about what the plan is while I figured out which direction my life should take. But now, I'm ready to go public! On Friday, (2 days from now) I will board a plane to Canada and begin the process of getting another working visa so that I can return to England to continue this exciting chapter in my life!
The school I've been working at for the past year and a half will be sponsoring me to stay. I will be teaching year 3 again and I couldn't be more excited about another go at applying all of the knowledge that I have gained through my first year of teaching. Obviously, I'm also excited for the many more adventures & travels the next few years will bring as well!
Obviously, Canada (and all my loves in Canada) I miss you all tremendously! My story in London simply has not come to an end, and I'm so excited to see where the coming year(s) will take me!

Happy Anniversary, London!
It's mind blowing to think that a year ago today I first landed in London to begin my adventure here, and what an adventure it has been! Over the past year I've learned so much about myself - some good...and some a little harder.
It really has been an incredible year! It's been a year filled with new experiences, highs and lows; Realizing how many amazing people I left in Canada, yet also making incredible lifelong friends since moving here. Here are some pictures of my adventures over the past year:
